The parts
This build mounts a pair of Diode Dynamics SS3 Max pod lights (spot lenses) to the Versys 1100's crash bars, using Pro-Spec Easy-Tag mounts and an AliExpress wiring harness kit that includes a wireless trigger switch and multiple flash patterns — no drilling and no button wiring to the bars required.
Wiring, the safe way
Main power runs battery-direct with a fused, relay-switched circuit; the switched-power tap works even without a Denali PowerHub Accessory Manager, so it's a setup most riders can replicate without that extra hardware. The relay itself handles the flash-pattern switching, controlled entirely from the wireless remote.
Brightness, tested
The video includes a direct brightness comparison between the new SS3 Max spot beams and the bike's existing MadDog flood lights — useful context since spot and flood beams serve different jobs (distance vs. wide coverage) rather than one simply being "brighter" in every situation.
